EMS stands for Enterprise Metrology Solutions. It's the guiding idea driving Hexagon Metrology's software development for the long term.

EMS is a metrology system. It uses the core technologies of PC-DMIS as the foundation of a group of interrelated software products that companies of all sizes, ranging from small shops through large enterprises, can use to build integrated and efficient metrology systems. These products work in a way similar to the way Microsoft Office products work. They have a common look and feel and are able to share data and in some cases part programs among themselves.

For EMS to be a system, it has to have a basic set of capabilities that work together. There are five:

- The control and operation of measurement equipment
- The development of inspection routines
- The evaluation of measurement data
- The generation of reports
- The transmission of information / feedback

Not every one of these may be needed for every job, but they must be available. Plus, you must be able to configure and reconfigure them to meet changing requirements.

PC-DMIS Inspection Planner (IP)
Transmits design intent without paper and generates inspection programs automatically

PC-DMIS IP links design and inspection. Inspection Planner consists of two parts, IP Planner, a CAD resident module, and IP measure, A PC-DMIS resident module. Using them in concert, customers can build design intent into their CAD models and the let any of the PC-DMIS inspection software packages (CMM, Vision, NC, etc.) automatically convert them into inspection programs. PC-DMIS Inspection Planner eliminates the gulf between CAD and inspection.

PC-DMIS Portable
The power of PC-DMIS on portable arms and Laser Trackers

PC-DMIS Portable addresses the specific needs of users of portable arms such as Romer and CimCore, and the Leica Geosystems laser trackers. It takes full advantage of the unique capabilities of portable measurement devices and makes them easy to access and apply with a special version of the PC-DMIS QuickStart™ routines. For automotive applications, the software lets users mix shank and sphere probing as necessary allowing them to execute their measurement routines as efficiently as possible. AnyOrder Execute™ provides the ultimate in flexibility by allowing users to decide the measurement order during program runtime.
 

PC-DMIS Numerical Control (NC)
In-Process CNC Metrology Software

PC-DMIS NC is an advanced, in-process metrology software package for CNC machines. It applies the technologies of PC-DMIS, the world's leading CMM software package to the task of CNC inspection. PC-DMIS NC simplifies the task of writing inspection routines for NC machines, but it does not compromise on the sophisticated programming, measurement, evaluation and reporting tools of the baseline product. Wilcox Associates has invested millions of dollars and hundreds of man-years in understanding measurement and in applying that understanding to our software. PC-DMIS NC lets our users take full advantage of our investment.
 

PC-DMIS Vision
A new take on Vision Measurement

PC-DMIS Vision reduces the time spent developing inspection programs by up to 75%. PC-DMIS was the first CMM software to integrate CAD into the measurement process. It has a sophisticated set of tools crafted to ease the job of developing, debugging and executing measurement program. Wilcox Associates has adapted these capabilities and added powerful new ones to meet the unique requirements of vision metrology. SPC Tools for your metrology applications

DataPage/RT SPC package is designed for the unique requirements of global manufacturing operations where CMMs and other automated measuring equipment generate high volumes of data. DataPage/RT is a powerful, easy-to-use, manufacturing quality tool.
On the shop floor, it effectively monitors, verifies, analyzes, charts and graphically displays part quality data. In the office, managers can query the DataPage database for information essential for long-range planning and total quality performance tracking.
