Gantry designed CMM's

ALPHA

The gantry architecture is the ideal solution for all measurement applications for large-sized automotive and aerospace components, as well as heavy transportation, communication and satellite equipment. Easy loading and integration with part transportation systems, ease of access to the measuring volume, and world class dynamic and accuracy performance are only some of the most prized capabilities of the DEA Gantry line.
Alpha is a multi-purpose flexible CMM for dimensional inspection of large casting and machined parts. When equipped with optical scanning sensors, the system can rapidly digitize millions of data points on free-form components. It is therefore an ideal reverse-engineering and inspection system for the die and mold manufacturing process.

DELTA HA

Delta HA is a line of large gantry CMMs that combine high throughput, accuracy and repeatability with excellent reliability when operating in open shop environment. Advanced mechanical structure, dual encoder on the main carriage, high-stiffness ceramic spindle and high-resolution certified scales are essential features that make this line the ideal system for inspecting and digitizing large precision components. Two versions are available: Delta HA-CR, equipped with a linear temperature compensation system for operation in a clean controlled-temperature shop environment. Delta HA-SF has been designed for operation in an open shop environment. The A.C.T.I.V.(r) structural thermal compensation, thermally insulated covers and forced-air circulation in the machine frame allow operation and high accuracy performance at ambient temperature varies between 16 and 26 °C.

LAMBDA SP

Lambda SP is a line of very large machines designed for the shop-floor environment. Extra-large measuring volume and its dynamic and Metrologic performance allow dimensional inspection of very large precision components, such as marine engines, aircraft frames, satellite modules, nuclear vessels, turbines, etc. The outstanding performance of this machine results from advanced technical solutions like the dual drive/encoder system on the main carriage, the Slant Bridge technology and the A.C.T.I.V.(r) structural thermal compensation. The optional CW43L continuous servo-wrist further enhances inspection capability due to its long probe extensions and full access to the workpiece in any direction.

Leitz PMM GANTRY - Highest Accuracy

PMM 3D Measuring Machines in Gantry design cover measuring ranges starting at 4000 x 2000 x 1000mm up to 8000 x 3850 x 3700mm.
Despite such large measuring strokes, these machines reach a precision and performance level, which is usually common with much smaller 3D Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
Typical parts measured on Leitz PMM Gantry measuring machines are large diesel engines, jet engine components, aircraft wing structures, columns of printing machines, satellites, large machine tool parts etc.
3D measuring machines of the Leitz PMM Gantry series are also used for gear inspection. Fast and precise inspection of any kind of gears and gear cutting tools up to a diameter of 3750mm is possible with those machines.
In short: Inspection of anything large, but with tight tolerances.

* Portal moving on two large granite guides, fixed on 2-point support
* High resolution steel scales by Heidenhain, with automatic temperature compensation
* Dual drives and dual scales in X
* Leitz 3D probe system, suitable for stylus extensions up to 600mm
* Integrated active pneumatic damping system for CMM and foundation
