Hexagon Metrology probing systems. TESA -Swiss manufactured >> Leitz Ultra high accuracy >> Camera system
A full range of Probing systems including Manual, CNC and probe change racks.
There are a many inspection tasks in current modern manufacturing industry and for most a CMM's with touch trigger probe is the correct solution for the application.
Discrete point, contact trigger probes (also called touch trigger probes) are ideal for inspection of 3 dimensional prismatic parts and known geometries.
These probes are highly versatile and are suitable for a diverse range of applications, materials and surfaces, and there is a wide range of accessories available for them.

TESASTAR-M Motorised Probe Heads
TesaStar M motorized probe The product is a shank mounted motorized articulating probe head for CMM's that is capable of indexing in 5 degree increments, 180 degrees to -180 degrees in revolution, and +90 to -115 degrees in pitch. This translates to a total of 2,952 possible positions, including a unique “table-hugging” 90 degree horizontal position possible due to the indexing arm’s asymmetrical shape. The head also features high speed indexing, with faster index changes than similar products.
The TesaStar M incorporates industry standard wiring via a new high-repeatability kinematic joint developed by TESA. Adaptors are available to accept standard M8 threaded touch probes, plus adaptors to accommodate multiwire-type Renishaw probes.
TESASTAR-i Manual Swivel and Manual Indexing Probe Head
TESASTAR-i emanates from a concept of TESA where an indexing head is coupled with a high precision TESASTAR-p touch probe. This probe with indexing capability by increment of 15 degrees in both axes allows the stylus to swivel through a number of positions as high as 168 without the need of recalibration. The system clearly shows the angular position of the probe, so that the operator is permanently informed precisely. Probe head is provided with two buttons that allow for single-handed release.
TESASTAR Manual Swivel Probe Head
A swivel type manual head gives a manual machine the added capability of probe positioning, allowing the probe to address the surface at the best angle to get the most accurate result. Adjusts to a range of variable positions.
Leitz high accuracy probe heads for Global machines
LSP-X3
and LSP-X5
Scanning Probe Heads As fitted to Global Range of high accuracy CMM's.
The X-series probe heads are developed to suit the requirements of moving portal measuring machines and is configured so that it attributes positively to the dynamic characteristics of measuring systems even during continuous scanning, thus providing best and balanced measuring qualities.
All standard measurements like: Single Point-Probing, Self-Centering and continuous High-Speed-Scanning for quick, very precise form and profile measurements, are possible.
Highest Measuring Accuracy
The special magnetic adapter for styli clusters permits a very quick configuration change in connection with the automatic styli changer rack. With that, the flexibility and throughput on a measuring machine can be increased for the purposes of efficiency. With the LSP-X5, horizontal stylus lengths of up to 500 mm are possible to reach measurement features deep inside a work piece. The automatic counterweight balancing allows styli configurations of up to 500 g, without restrictions to the measuring range.
Special Collision Protection
With the help of an integrated temperature sensor the LSP-X5 makes automatic integration of the part temperature measurement within every CNC-measurement run possible.
Beside stylus collision protection, a mechanical probe head collision protection system is available.
Optical - Camera.
CMM-V
CMM-V is a Camera for use on a CMM. This can be mounted direct to the Quill or mounted on the Articulated probe head for multi positional inspection. The integral segmented LED illumination and the 2D light sensitive CCD allow an area of the measured component to be illuminated and viewed. Software control of the illumination allows the user to optimise the image for each measurement.
The whole Field of View (FOV) of 6mm x 4.5mm or specific Regions of Interest (ROI) within the FOV can be used to select one or more features for measurement (e.g. Hole Diameters, Edge Positions). The CMM-V is Renishaw auto-joint compatible and can be used with the Renishaw PH10 head and ACR-3 storage racks so your CMM can run automatically with application programs in which both contact and non-contact sensing are employed.
CMM-V applications include:
Measurement of small features (e.g. holes) which are difficult to access with contact probes.
Measurement of soft or easily deformed components.
Measurement of printed circuit boards.
PC-DMIS Vision brings PC-DMIS’s sophisticated metrology capabilities to traditional camera-based measurement equipment. For the first time, PC-DMIS’s proven set of programming and measurement tools make it possible for users of vision devices to integrate CAD seamlessly into their measurement operations. The module includes advanced editing capabilities, a full complement of targeting and filtering tools and the unique AutoShutter™ feature, which lets manual machines effectively run automatically within a given field of view. On multi-sensor machines, users can switch between tactile and vision probes as needed without having to recalibrate any probes. All the existing tools familiar to tactile users are available when a tactile probe is employed. The common user interface provides existing users of traditional tactile CMMs a familiar experience with the addition of the vision specific tools.
PC-DMIS vision includes advanced offline programming features as well, with a fully simulated vision environment available in offline mode, including simulated lighting, magnification and focus control. This allows programs to be created from CAD in an offline environment, keeping the vision machine available at all times for production. When moving an offline developed program to the machine, PC-DMIS’ Auto Tune feature automatically adjusts the vision parameters of the program to the live environment, automatic compensating the machine’s parameters to the ambient lighting conditions. You also have full control over your program at all stages of creation, with full editability of features and parameters within the program.
