SPC-Light™ is easy to learn; it’s intuitive, it’s quick to work with as the frequent tasks that you perform can be defined as the system defaults. SPC programs and measurement routines can be quickly created and easily modified with password privileges. Most users are up and running within just a few hours following the easy installation! With all this simplicity you would be forgiven for thinking SPC-Light™ is a basic (or LITE!) product – far from it… The art is to provide a tool that can be adapted for a wide range of users from first time PC users to power users who expect the very best. SPC-Light™ provides limitless permutations of logon accounts with each user account having the ability to have unique menu and toolbar configurations.


Powerful data collection

Flexible data collection is one of the key factors if SPC is to become successful in your organization. Unless you are using SPC-Light™ exclusively in the office environment it is likely that you will have a huge and complex array of measuring systems that you would like to interface. From the conventional hand tool to the most sophisticated CMM, SPC-Light™ has the engine to cope! Measuring tools can either be connected directly to any of the available COM ports on the PC, through a multiplexer or through our range of Exodus data collectors. SPC-Light™ is so sophisticated that in many cases a CMM output file can automatically create the SPC-Light™ program for you – this not only gets the job done a lot faster but it ensures the two systems remain synchronized.

Clear Presentation

To get the best acceptance on the shopfloor you need to present the information in a format that operators can easily interpret.

Arrange the screen to maximize the number of characteristics shown. Scroll through the data and zoom in or out to your preference

Present the data alongside the chart, view an image of the product or link the SPC study to an external document

Often, for shopfloor use the screens are locked into position. This ensures that users always view the data in a consistent and familiar way, it also prevents unauthorized users from experimenting with settings and accidentally getting themselves into difficulties.

Create studies that include variables or attributes; or you can combine the two
